Just a little update and reminder. I have now received 7 Annual Reports and they have all been quite informative, even including a little dialogue about how things are going in those countries. Having these in hand is going to make our job of providing a worthwhile report to IRSA much simpler and will have some good information.

The conditions listed in the previous message all still apply so let’s not lose sight of the deadlines and have everyone participate.

In the case of voting, you should be aware that you are eligible personally to vote and where you may not get any votes from the rest of your owners, you should vote at least so that your country is represented all the way to the end of the process.

So this reminder is that there are about 10 days left to have your owner numbers submitted and then another 4 after that to gather you’re in country voting together.

AS always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the Exec at any time and we’ll dig out an answer for you.

Subject: Agenda for 2014 AGM

Please find attached some documents leading up to the 2014 AGM. Enclosed are the Agenda itself as well as a blank form for your NCA Annual Report.

This will also serve as a reminder that your owner lists are to be in our hands by October 26, 2014. This list is to include a listing of all boats currently in your records for current members who are owners and broken down by Registered only and Certificated.

Also, preferably by that date, you are required by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IOM ICA and your NCA to submit an annual report. This has not been enforced very stringently for a number of years but this will be a year of renewal for that requirement.

Failing to submit both an owner count and an Annual Report will be considered as not being in good standing as far as the MoU is concerned and those countries not submitting both reports will not be allowed to have their votes count and can be considered to be out of compliance for the purposes of sending sailors to the 2015 Worlds. It is important for IOMN ICA to have this information available so that we can formulate our own Annual Report for IRSA.

The Agenda for this year is quite light in that there are only a very few Rules changes to be considered and there are no elections.

In the realm of “it’s never too early to start thinking”, next year will be a year where all positions are up for election. There will be one or more positions that will require filling and all positions are always open to nominations. So here is the first advance notice that you might want to start looking within your own organizations for people suitable to fill any of our Exec positions.

If you have any questions please contact me as they arise and I will try to find an answer for you. Please don’t submit those via a Reply All as that just creates a lot of email traffic that many won’t care about.

Thanks, hope to hear from you soon.
