Race day report : multihull racing 1
After all the tight construction deadlines race day produced light winds.
Not national type light but not enough to foil or even fly 2 hulls
There was a late start due to the light wind.
A fleet of 13 boats in the multis, 5 in the monos was present.
With one of the classes starting then a couple of minutes the other class going.
6 races were run with 2 completed before lunch.
Long courses were set by Rob with upwind to the bus stop marks then slalom to bottom mark about south buoy and up to finish off the wharf.
I took a quick survey at the conclusion of the day to which the consensus being the next racing should be in about 4 weeks.
Stand by as i will try to get this organized to run in Auckland.
Special thanks to Rob Nelson for running the racing and Tracey, Stephen and Carl for helping.
Rob Fielding for the video work.
And Ken Fox for the trophy.
And Owen P for results.
Any additional video or photos would be gratefully appreciated.
